One Couch...Done!

Today is a good day!

We are on our way... the couch is done.

While I didn't do any of the sewing (my husband Jeff is a fantastic upholsterer...and never gives himself enough credit), I did have to find the supplies.

Ebay is great.  I'm not much of an ebayer, but I found the hog rings we needed to fasten the seat cushions to the frame, and at a good price, too. The purpose of this post is -- don't be afraid to use ebay as a locating tool, you may be surprised at what you find -- we sure were.

Interior Fabric

Choosing the Interior Fabric

Anyone who knows me knows that I can't make a decision to save my life.

The last time I had to choose a paint color it was for my kitchen. I went around and around, chose a color, and hated it when I saw it on the walls. Luckily, Jeff only painted one wall before my all-to-famous FREAKOUT happened.  I needed my neighbor Jenny to come over and talk me down off the ledge.  Together, Jenny and I, we came to an agreement about colors and Jeff was back painting the kitchen lickity split.

Choosing fabric for our RV made me nervous.  I wanted to be kind of edgy, but on the conservative side.  The above picture is what we came up with for the majority of the upholstered pieces. I found it at -- wait for it -- Joann Fabrics of all places.  I waited for the 50% coupon and got it for a steal! I bought all they had (10 yards) and hope like hell it's going to be enough.
